You could pay anywhere between $500-$1000 for the job depending where you take it.
You should pay what you are charged to get it done right. How much should I pay to change timing belt in my 2000 Volvo V70 AWD?Be a man and do it yourself.
God didn't give you that much space under the hood so you could be a pretty boy and keep your hands clean while real men turned wrenches on your car.
Now, you didn't say which engine it was but it's probably the I5 since you mentioned AWD. There's a LOT of space under there, it should be a pretty easy job. You will need a new tensioner along with the belt, and it's a good time to do the water pump too since you'll be rolling around in that general area. You also may want to invest in a cam lock tool.
Since timing is important, loosen all the spark plugs so the engine won't roll when you pull the belt. Before pulling the belt, make a mark on the block which you can match to a mark on the pulley for the crank so you can do the matchmark timing game.
