2000 Honda Accord LX timing belt change at what mile?

my wife's accord has 110,000 miles on it. Is it necceassary to change the timing belt? Are they still rubber belt? and if it is something I have to do is taking it to the dealer the best bet or should I just look around for a good deal? Looking to drive it for another 5 years or so.2000 Honda Accord LX timing belt change at what mile?NO car uses a rubber timing belt..the belt you see is ur serpintine belt. The timing belt is a chain that is covered so u cant see it without removing the top of your engine.. Honda recomends that the timing belt be change after 80,000 miles. The scarry thing is that u have know way of knowing..it just goes, causing super damage to the engine of the car,(bends all the cams and rods) possably totalling it. So i would recommend getting it changed...along with the water pump at the same time. after that an accord should be good for another 100k miles. its a good car,,trust me get it done.2000 Honda Accord LX timing belt change at what mile?yes is necessary, ten years or 100,000 miles, that's for EU, others countries may vary depend on manufacturer and honda still use rubber belt,

next time buy a corrolla they dont use rubber belt, they use timming chain and u dont need to replace it %26quot;never%26quot; (well in a 15 years driving the chain will stretch only 1/8 inch)

changing the timming belt cost around 250 not 990 like other ppl say :D2000 Honda Accord LX timing belt change at what mile? You have to get it replaced as soon as possible. It is a rubber belt. If it breaks, you will be stranded, and end up with a huge repair bill (at least $1500). It will take days to repair the damage.

Get the timing belt replaced by a mechanic with experience with Honda timing belts. Also replace the water pump and timing belt tensioner at the same time. These three items plus labor should cost $530 - $700 with high quality parts.2000 Honda Accord LX timing belt change at what mile?I thought it was closer to 95,000 miles. And i would check prices from reputable service stations. It can be expensive, like $900.00.....but if it breaks the engine damage is far more costly.2000 Honda Accord LX timing belt change at what mile?T-belt is recommended at 105,000 miles or 6 years. You don't necessarily need to take it to a Honda dealer, but make sure Honda parts are installed.
