When do I need to change my timing belt on my 01 Dodge Neon? Is there a difference between types of engine?

I thought it was time, but a source told me that it mattered why type of engine you have. I have the original engine for the car, but do not know what it means. When do I need to change my timing belt on my 01 Dodge Neon? You should replace it every 60,000 miles regardless of how you drive.

If you ever have one of these belts break and see what damage they can do to the engine the $100 cost of replacing the belt will seem cheap! When do I need to change my timing belt on my 01 Dodge Neon? otherwise you will have a lot of problemsWhen do I need to change my timing belt on my 01 Dodge Neon? Is there a difference between types of engine?60,000 miles is the average lifespan but my motto is if it ain't broke don't fix it, some go 100,000 miles. If you remove the cover and inspect it for cracks in it like the cracks that form on serpintine belts, or pieces/teeth missing go ahead and replace it, you can expect to pay several hundred dollars to have it done though! If it runs fine leave it alone. When do I need to change my timing belt on my 01 Dodge Neon? Is there a difference between types of engine?change it at 60000 miles. better safe than sorry. It will be way way more expensive if it breaks while you are driving it.

You also have a timing belt driven water pump, so I would replace the water pump at the same time, and maybe the belt tensioner if recommended by your shop. When do I need to change my timing belt on my 01 Dodge Neon?
