1997 mitsubishi eclipse running sloppy after timing belt change.?

I changed my waterpump and timing belt, along with all the pulleys and balancer belt. Before my safc II was set in the negatives (-10) and now it wants to run lean all the time and I have to set my safc II in the + (+10) so my question is. If they are just one tooth off it will throw your timing all out of whack. A timing gun won't do any good if the belt is not installed properly. Did you do this yourself? also should not turn eng backwords by hand may make belt jump .ei: matches1997 mitsubishi eclipse running sloppy after timing belt change.?there is know way to set the timing on your car with a timing light it is computer controled you can try and erase the computer and let it take care of it to do this disconect the positive and ground cable from the battery and touch them together for 15 to 30 seconds then connect them back up
